Big trees on small Buffalo lots. We take them down in pieces, from a tracked lift that fits through a gate, and leave the lawn the way we found it.
Buffalo’s street trees and backyard maples are a century old in some neighborhoods. When one dies, splits in an ice storm or starts lifting the sidewalk, it has to come down carefully, usually within a few feet of a house, a fence and a neighbor’s garage.
Our tracked lift reaches 100 feet and fits through a 36 inch gate, so we do not need a crane in the street or a truck on your lawn. We rope down the pieces, chip the brush, cut the wood to length or haul it, and grind the stump below grade.
Dead, dying, storm-damaged or simply in the wrong place. Sectional removal with the lift and rigging, complete cleanup, and the option to keep the firewood.
Crown cleaning, deadwood removal, raising the canopy over the roof and driveway, and reducing limbs that hang over the house. Cut at the collar, never topped.
We grind stumps 8 to 12 inches below grade, rake out the chips and backfill with topsoil and seed so the lawn closes over the spot by the next season.
When a limb is on the roof or a tree is blocking the driveway, call the main number. We answer 24 hours a day for tree emergencies across Buffalo and the suburbs.
The October 2006 storm taught Buffalo what wet snow does to trees in full leaf, and every big wind off the lake since has added to the list. We prune for structure so the tree sheds wind instead of catching it.
City lots also mean underground gas, sewer laterals and overhead lines. We call in locates before grinding and keep the lift and the drop zone clear of every service.
Small ornamentals start at a few hundred dollars. Large maples and oaks over a house run into the thousands because of the rigging and time involved. We look at the tree in person and give you a fixed written price, including cleanup and, if you want it, stump grinding.
For trees on your own property, most Buffalo-area towns do not require a permit. Street trees in the tree lawn belong to the city or town and need their approval. We will tell you which is which.
Yes. We carry liability and workers compensation coverage for tree work and will send the certificate to you or your insurer before the job.
Almost always. The tracked lift is 36 inches wide and the stump grinder is narrower. If a section of fence has to come out we remove it and put it back.
Tell us the town and what the yard needs. We call back, walk it with you, and put the price in writing.
